The Red Edition

Our Red Edition cases are hand-crafted from lightweight, luxury paper and can be used 2-3 times before being recycled or composted.

Spilled on your Red Edition product by accident? If it’s at all damaged, don’t worry. The Red Edition is 100% paper, so if your compact becomes saturated with any product or oil, it can be composted rather than recycled.

The Refill

Refilling your compact is simple; just follow these steps:

  • Open up the compact and turn it face down. You will see a small hole below the label.
  • Using a pin, push through the hole until the used makeup cartridge is dislodged.
  • Insert the new makeup into the compact. The refill carton can be recycled, and your Kjaer Weis makeup is now ready for use.

How To Use
How to Apply

For best results, apply with an Eye Shadow Brush. For a deeper definition, mist your brush slightly with water to intensify the shadow. To create the effect of a soft eyeliner, mist the Kjaer Weis Angle Brush and apply it along the lash line.

Kirsten's Tip

Often, those with green eyes can make the color pop by using soft bronze and green eye shadow colors. If you have blue eyes, warm orange tones will act as a gorgeous contrast. Blue, brown, and gold tones can warm up brown eyes, and hazel eyes look beautiful with purple shades, greens, and bronze tones.

How do you apply Powder Eye Shadow?

Use the Soft Brush for an all-over wash of color on the lid. For definition along the upper and lower lash lines or to build a smokey effect, use the Definition Brush. To turn the shadow into a quick liner, mist the Angle Brush with water and press into the shadow before applying. When building a smokey eye, always start with a light hand and layer gradually. The Brow Brush can also be used to apply eye shadow as a brow powder for a soft, defined brow.

What does Powder Eye Shadow do?

The Powder Eye Shadow delivers silky, blendable color with a satin finish that is neither too matte nor too iridescent. Formulated with wild Bamboo, which is rich in natural silicone, the shadow blends like a dream and holds true color from the first application to the last. Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract and Honeysuckle Extract preserve the formula naturally while soothing the skin.

How do I build a smokey eye with Powder Eye Shadow?

Start with a light shade all over the lid using the Soft Brush. Apply a medium shade into the crease and along the lash line using the Definition Brush, then blend upward and outward. Layer in a deeper shade for intensity, concentrating on the outer corner and the lash line. Blend thoroughly between each step. For brown and green eyes, shades like Wisdom, Pretty Purple, and Transcend add particularly flattering depth.

What is the difference between Powder Eye Shadow and Cream Eye Shadow?

Powder Eye Shadow gives a more diffused, traditional shadow finish and is well-suited for blending multiple shades together or achieving layered looks. Cream Eye Shadow has a richer, more intense payoff with a creamy, skin-melting texture that requires less layering for impact. Powder can be layered over Cream Eye Shadow to deepen or set the look.
