Application & Tips

How To Use
How to Apply
  • To Spot Conceal Hyperpigmentation: After applying foundation, apply a small dot of concealer directly onto the area. Then, tap with the Concealer Brush, being mindful not to swipe to keep coverage full. Apply a light touch of Pressed Powder to set the area.
  • To Spot Conceal Blemishes: Apply before foundation using the Concealer Brush, concentrating product on the blemish. Then apply foundation as needed, taking care to tap (rather than swipe) over areas where concealer has been applied. Set with Pressed Powder to finish.
  • To Brighten: Use the doe foot applicator to place three dots under the eye. Then use the Buffer Concealer Brush to gently diffuse and blend out under the eyes. If you are looking to brighten the under-eye area, choose a shade slightly lighter than your foundation.
  • Brightening Pro Tip: Apply a small dot on the inner corner of the eye and blend to make eyes look brighter and more awake!
  • Eye Shadow Priming: Dab a dot of The Invisible Touch Concealer on each eyelid and blend with finger or Buffer Concealer Brush. This technique will give powder eye shadow a longer-lasting finish.
  • Pro Tip: Cream Eye Shadows do not need priming!
  • For Cheekbone Contour: Apply a light swipe of concealer just under the cheekbone, from the ear to just below the cheek apples. Use the Foundation/Blush Brush to gently blend upward and forward onto the cheekbone, until the deeper color has been diffused and blended seamlessly onto the skin.
  • For Forehead Contour. Apply a very light swipe of concealer across the forehead, approximately one finger width below the hairline. With the Foundation Brush, blend upward into the hairline and then across the forehead to diffuse and buff the color.
  • For Nose Area Contour. Apply a dot of concealer on either side of the nose. Using the Buffer Bush, gently buff the concealer downward on either side of the nose, leaving the center of the nose untouched by the contour shade.
  • For Jawline Contour. Lightly dot the concealer just under the jawline from ear to ear. Using the buffer brush, gently blend the concealer down towards the neck and away from the face.
Kirsten's Tip

Select a shade slightly lighter than your skin tone for a brightening lift or slightly darker to contour the nose, cheek, forehead and jaw. It can also prime the eyelids before applying eyeshadow. To conceal blemishes or imperfections, select a shade that matches your foundation.

Invisible Touch Concealer FAQs

Get the most from your product with answers to frequently asked questions about application, ingredients, and care.

How do you apply concealer?

For under-eye brightening, place three dots of concealer under the eye using the doe-foot applicator, then gently blend with the Buffer Concealer Brush. For spot concealing, apply to the area before foundation, then tap (rather than swipe) foundation over the top to keep coverage intact. For hyperpigmentation, apply foundation first, then dot concealer directly onto the area and tap to blend. Set with Pressed Powder to extend wear.

Where should you apply concealer?

Concealer can be used wherever you want to even skin tone, brighten, or cover imperfections. The Invisible Touch Concealer is especially effective under the eyes to brighten and reduce the appearance of dark circles, which is a common concern as skin loses density over time, and over areas of hyperpigmentation. A shade slightly darker than your foundation can also be used to contour the cheekbones, forehead, nose, and jawline for subtle definition.

Should you apply concealer before or after foundation?

It depends on what you need it to do. For covering dark circles or hyperpigmentation, apply foundation first. This gives you a more even base to work from and helps you gauge how much concealer you actually need. For spot concealing blemishes, apply a small amount before foundation and tap (not swipe) the foundation over the top. Either way, the formula is blendable enough to work seamlessly at any stage of application.

Should concealer be lighter or darker than your foundation?

For brightening the under-eye area, a shade one to two tones lighter than your foundation works well to lift and open the eyes. For covering blemishes or imperfections, a shade that closely matches your foundation gives the most natural result. For contouring, choose a shade one to two tones deeper than your foundation and apply to the cheekbones, jawline, or nose to add definition and structure.
